I was on a mission to produce a set of new images to use across all the L'Armoire Boutique social media platforms. It was a bitterly cold day in Llanidloes as we dashed from the shop to the market hall, borrowing dogs & vintage bikes and attractive shop fronts on route. There were plenty of interesting backdrops to use and the 4hrs were a joy, albeit cold ones. I had to borrow a lovely warm winter coat from the boutique to keep me from catching a cold.

A perfect day behind the lens at the Golden Cross in Shrewsbury. I could have stayed all day, dug my teeth into those smooth slabs of cheese, supped the red wine in the courtyard, then retired to the four poster suite upstairs. Another day I hope...drink and work..it's a no no no.

An intended quick visit to the Newtown Textile Museum last week to pick up some information leaflets, culminated in an opportunity for me to produce some exciting images.

40 years had passed since my last visit during a school trip from Newtown primary school. I was extremely impressed this time, so much so, I rushed home for my camera within the first 5 minutes. With just two more days before it closed for the winter season, I really didn't want to miss the opportunity to capture these great interiors in the Textile Museum, Commercial St, Newtown, Powys.

Jane Beck Blankets at Ty Zinc in the Ceredigion countryside has the largest collection of Welsh blankets in the Wales and in fact the world! Here you'll find over a 1000 Welsh blankets piled high on shelves and scattered around amongst antique collectables and tempting locally made handmade items (such as the squirrel tea cosy I came home with). I was excited, I didn't know where to look first, my head was frenzied as I glanced around the big zinc treasure chest of colours. New Welsh blankets, vintage Welsh blankets, they had it all.....I was in heaven! I set up my kit as soon as I'd finished a cup of tea and we started on run of portraits of Jane with Binky the Pug. Then I set about capturing the interiors from as many angles as possible.
